On 11 May 2020 the Government confirmed that hotels, B&Bs, caravan sites and self catering holiday premises will remain closed, except where providing accommodation for specific reasons set out in law, such as for critical workers where required for a reason relating to their work. Further details were also released on the COVID-19 recovery strategy, confirming that hospitality businesses are required to remain closed until step three, which will be no earlier than 4 July. The ambition at this step is to open at least some hospitality businesses that meet the COVID-19 Secure guidelines.
