Bookings and Deposits

A deposit of one third of the total rental is payable with your booking and the balance is due six weeks prior to the start of your holiday. An invoice will be sent to you.  Bookings are held for four days until payment is received. Payments may be made by cheque, credit card, debit card or electronic bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Rayle Farm Holiday Cottages.  When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.  The person who completes the booking form certifies that: a) he or she is authorised to agree the booking conditions on behalf of all persons included on the booking form, including those substituted or added at a later date; b) the signatory is over eighteen years of age and a member of the party intending to occupy the property; and c) agrees to take responsibility for the party occupying the property.  It is a condition of your booking that the total number in your party shall not exceed the capacity of your Cottage as advertised.

Holiday Cancellation Insurance

Once your booking is confirmed, you are liable for the full rental.  If you have to cancel your booking we will endeavour to re-let the cottage for you. If we are successful in re-letting all of your holiday you will only forfeit an administration fee of £50.  If we are only successful in re-letting part of your holiday or only manage to re-let the whole of your holiday at a lower price than that originally paid by you and the value of the re-let is less than your outstanding balance of hire you will also be held responsible for the difference. If we cannot re-let, then you will be held responsible for the prompt payment of the full cost of the holiday. We strongly advise you to take out cancellation insurance.

Changeover Day

Please note that it is only during peak season that we adhere to the named starting day. During mid and low season, it may be possible to vary the changeover day to suit you, please do not hesitate to ask if you would like an alternative start/finish day or a long weekend.

Arrival/Departure Time

Your cottage will be available at 4.00pm on your arrival date and we ask that you vacate the property by 10.00am on the day of your departure. Whilst all properties are thoroughly cleaned between visitors, we would ask you to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

Number in your Party

The total number of people in your party must not exceed the capacity of the cottage as advertised

Breakages and Damage to the Property

Any articles which are damaged, broken or lost must be paid for, including furniture and soft furnishings. You may be asked for a key and damage deposit, or to provide a credit card for any charges or damage or loss to our property during your stay.

Dogs are welcome to join you for your holiday (subject to the conditions on the booking form) - 2 small or 1 large dog in Daisy's and Buttercup's and a maximum of 2 dogs in the larger cottages. There is a charge of £15 per dog, per stay. As most dog owners are probably aware, as part of the clean beach policy, many of Cornwall’s beaches are closed to dogs between Easter and October. Owners are particularly requested to ensure that their dogs do not lie on the sofas or beds, to keep their dogs on leads in the vicinity of the courtyard cottages and that all dog mess is picked up and put in the bin.

Central Heating and Electricity

Both renewable biomass central heating and electricity are included in the rental.

Bed linen is provided with a fresh change of linen for every complete week of your holiday.  A bath towel and a hand towel are provided for each guest.  They may not be used as beach towels so guests are advised to bring their own.  Two tea towels will be provided in each cottage.

Pasty/Ice Cream Supper

A pasty supper is provided on arrival for stays of a week or more.
